Scientific Reports of the Australiasia Antarctic Expedition, 1911-1914

This unique item is a near complete set of the Scientific Reports, which were published by the Australian Commonwealth Government Printer over a period of about 20 years.

The Reports consist of multiple parts, broken down into three series. We have have a complete run of Series A, together with nearly complete sets of Series B and C. The three series are on sale together.

The collection has obviously been stored by a former owner in a damp area, and some parts are water damaged. The damage is unevenly spread accross parts, with most undamaged. With those that are water damaged, the most hard hit parts are the photographic and cartographic plates, which are on different paper to the text, although even on the plates, damage rarely extends beyond the quite wide margins, leaving the material quite visible.
